This document sets out our Privacy Policy. It describes how I collect and manage your personal information when you interact with this site and the choices you have in regards to that data.  I take this responsibility very seriously.  If you have any questions or concerns about how your personal information is being handled, please do not hesitate to contact me.

I comply with the Australian Privacy Principles set out in the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) (Privacy Act).
By using this site, you agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with this policy.

Personal Information

If you engage with me via this website or choose to become my client, I may ask to collect the following kinds of personal information from you, including:

  • your name and email address when you opt into my emails
  • your phone number
  • your address for deliveries and consultations
  • your due date, caregiver, and other details relating to your birth
  • your opinion about future topics, products, or services that may interest you
Collection and Use

I may collect your personal information by various means including:

  • an opt-in form for my mailing list
  • when you email me with an enquiry

I use this information to:

  • provide you with relevant news and updates about my services
  • to answer your questions about my services
  • communicate with you
  • manage and improve my business and website

  • if I need it to provide you with information or services that you request
  • if I am legally required to collect it

Sensitive Information

I understand that some personal information is particularly sensitive.
I will only collect sensitive information by methods that are reasonably secure, such as:

  • when you send me information in an email
  • during a consultation

The reason why I collect this information is:

  • so that I can provide you with the services you have contracted for
  • to ensure that I am providing you with the most appropriate services

The sensitive information I ask you to provide for this purpose may include:

  • your medical history
  • your birth date
  • information on your relationships
  • information on your child, including birth date and relevant medical history

I am committed to securely storing and handling your sensitive information.
Sensitive information is stored on a password protected computer and a password protected program.
Only I have access sensitive material.
I do not store sensitive information online or in the cloud.
All archived sensitive information is securely destroyed after 7 years.

You may choose not to provide me with your personal information. However, if you choose not to be completely honest with me, I may not be able to provide you with the services that you request.

Use of Personal Information

Reasons why I may disclose your personal information include:

  • to provide you with the services you have requested
  • to send you products that you have purchased

In order to do this, I may share some relevant personal information – on a strictly need to know basis – with a delivery driver, Australia Post, or courier companies.

I will also disclose your information if required by law to do so or in circumstances permitted by the Privacy Act – for example, where I have reasonable grounds to suspect that unlawful activity, or misconduct of a serious nature, that relates to my functions or activities has been, is being or may be engaged in, and in response to a subpoena, discovery request or a court order.

I will use all reasonable means to protect the confidentiality of your personal information while in my possession or control. I will not knowingly share any of your personal information with any third party other than the service providers who assist me in providing the information and/or services I am providing to you. To the extent that I do share your personal information with a service provider, I would only do so if that party has agreed to comply with our privacy standards as described in this privacy policy. However, some of my service providers may be overseas and may not be subject to Australian Privacy Laws or compliant with GDPR. Please contact me if you have any concerns about the potential disclosure of your information.

Security

I take reasonable physical, technical, and administrative safeguards to protect your personal information from misuse, interference, loss, and unauthorised access, modification and disclosure. Unfortunately, no measures can be guaranteed to provide 100 percent security. Accordingly, I cannot guarantee the security of your information.

I manage risks to your personal information by:

  • ensuring that only I have access to sensitive information
  • releasing information to service providers on a strictly need-to-know basis

I may use third party service providers, agents, or contractors (“Service Providers”) to perform services on my behalf or to assist me with providing services to you. For example, I may engage Service Providers to process credit card transactions or other payment methods.  Or, I may engage Service Providers to provide services such as marketing, advertising, communications, infrastructure and IT services, to provide customer service, to collect debts, and to analyse and enhance data (including data about users’ interactions with our service). These Service Providers may have access to your personal or other information in order to provide these functions. In addition, some of the information I request may be collected by third party providers on our behalf. I do not authorise them to use or disclose your personal information except in connection with providing their services.

  • Google Analytics:
    Google Analytics is a web analytics service offered by Google that tracks and reports website traffic. Google uses the data collected to track and monitor the use of this service. This data is shared with other Google services. Google may use the collected data to contextualise and personalise the ads of its own advertising network.
    You can opt-out of having made your activity on the Service available to Google Analytics by installing the Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on. The add-on prevents the Google Analytics JavaScript (ga.js, analytics.js, and dc.js) from sharing information with Google Analytics about visits activity.   • Payment Providers:
    I provide paid products and/or services within the site. When I do, I use third-party services for payment processing.  I will not store or collect your payment card details. That information is provided directly to my third-party payment processors whose use of your personal information is governed by their own privacy notice. The payment processors we work with adhere to the standards set by PCI-DSS as managed by the PCI Security Standards Council, which is a joint effort of brands like Visa, Mastercard, American Express and Discover. PCI-DSS requirements help ensure the secure handling of payment information.

    I may have links on my site to other sites that I do not operate.  If you click on a third party link, you will be taken directly to that site which is governed by its own privacy notice.  I strongly encourage you to read that privacy notice.  I do not control that site and assume no responsibility for the content, policies, or its practices.
  • Cookies
    Cookies are small pieces of text sent to your web browser by a website you visit. A cookie file is stored in your web browser and allows the Service or a third-party to recognize you and make your next visit easier and the Service more useful to you.
    Cookies can be “persistent” or “session” cookies. Persistent cookies remain on your personal computer or mobile device when you go offline, while session cookies are deleted as soon as you close your web browser.

Retention

Mother Down Under Pty Ltd will retain your Personal Data only for as long as is necessary for the purposes set out in this Privacy Notice. I will retain and use your Personal Data to the extent necessary to comply with my legal obligations (for example, if I am required to retain your data to comply with applicable laws), resolve disputes, and enforce our legal agreements and policies.

Mother Down Under Pty Ltd will also retain Usage Data for internal analysis purposes. Usage Data is generally retained for a shorter period of time, except when this data is used to strengthen the security or to improve the functionality of our Service, or I am legally obligated to retain this data for longer time periods.

Access to Information

You can contact me to access, correct, update, or delete your personal information at any time. Unless I am subject to a confidentiality obligation or some other restriction on giving access to the information which permits me to refuse you access under the Privacy Act, and I believe there is a valid reason for doing so, I will endeavour to make your information available you within 30 days.  I will need to verify your identity before being able to respond to such requests

Complaints

If a breach of this Privacy Policy occurs, or if you wish to a request a change to your personal information, you may contact me by sending an email outlining your concerns to me at Ca*****@Mo*************.com and I will endeavour to respond within 48 hours.

If you are not satisfied with my response to your complaint you may seek a review by contacting the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner using the information available at http://www.oaic.gov.au/privacy/privacy-complaints.

Notification of Breach

If I have reason to suspect that a serious data breach has occurred and that this may result in harm or loss to you, I will immediately assess the situation and take appropriate remedial action. If I still believe that you are at risk, I will notify the Office of the Information Commissioner and either notify you directly, or if that is not possible, publicise a notification of the breach on this website.
